Tonsillitis

I have been told by many, many people that the first year of teaching is the hardest.

Not just getting use to the routine, getting your strength up and learning to think on your feet.

The fact that you get everything single bug that goes through the centre. I heard it so many times I was expecting it - just not so quickly.
I shouldn't really be surprised that I've spent the last two days in bed with a fever, eating nothing but ice blocks and orange juice. My first ever case of tonsillitis.
Defiantly looking forward to the teachers immune system kicking in soon :)

Oh you poor thing! It's true your immune system does improve as time goes by ... having said that i myself have just spent two days at home nursing a very heavy head cold and I've been working with children for twelve years ... guess that just goes to show we really are human after all!
Feel better.
Donna :) :)

So glad I no longer have tonsils. I made it through more than a term and a half before finally getting sick last weekend, but you should hear my voice a week later!

Hi Erin,

I've been impressed with your writings for some time. Is that image with the Proverbs 31 quote you? Sadly, the site you hosted it on seems to be dubious. I just clicked on it, landed on www.modesteen.com and met some, err, less than modest teens.

John, thanks for the heads up. The link is VERY different to the one it was originally.
The quote pic is not me, I found it with a variety of similar ones on a christian site. I liked the verse :)
