Ask Hard Questions

"People who blithely go through life too busy or indifferent to ask hard questions about why they believe as they do will find themselves defenceless against either the experience of tragedy or the probing questions of a sceptic."
Tim Keller from The reason for God

My Bible study has been reading through The Reason For God by Tim Keller, using the study guide and discussion DVD. It's prompted some very interesting discussions. We talked about how everyone believes something and everyone has a reason for why they believe what they believe. The important thing is that you have thought about why you believe what you believe.
This book looks at many reasons people have doubts about Christianity and then presents many detailed reasons why Keller believes God is real and why we should have a relationship with him.

I love people who can talk about why they believe as they do. People who believe blindly frustrate me endlessly.

Yes, I agree! People might not have the same beliefs, but I'd respect your belief more if you have a reason behind what you believe, not just 'because'.
