It's just words, isn't it?
Words you say
words you write
words you agonise over
delete and rewrite.

The simplest of phrases
the longest of sentences
all saying something
of you
and them
and the moment.

Have you captured it?
Can you do it justice?
How can you use marks on a page to express what you think and feel and wonder?

Words have power.

and yet are also powerless.

All they do is capture what is powerful.

Words that are the hardest to come by

are just trying to express

what is the most dear to you.
