Parachute

Have you ever played with a parachute with young children. It's amazing to watch their delight, lift the parachute up and down, run under it before it falls again, bounce small toys on the parachute.

Don't think that you need an expensive parachute to play. You can do the same thing with a bed sheet - it's easy to grab onto the sides and let it billow in the air.

Come play at Childhood 101 play link up.

we used to play with a parachute with my mothers group when my first son was about 6 months....they all loved it! Great idea and so many things you can do with one!

We recently bought a pile of old bedsheets and doona covers at an op shop, so perhaps I'll use one of those for this activity!

Thanks for the idea!

I was first introduced to parachute play at my daughters early intervention centre 2 years ago. It was fascinating seeing how quickly the children calmed down when they lay on the floor with soothing music and the parachute waving up and down over the top of them.

Love love love the parachute.

I am the leader for large motor-skills/music time once a week at a pre-shcool. By far the childredn's favorite activity is when I bring out the parachutes. So FUN!

My daughter used to do a Baby Gym class and the parachute was always the highlight of the class! Then when the fairy pulled one out of her suitcase for her second birthday party!

I just might have to rainbow dye a bedsheet for her birthday party :)
