I put my new jeans on?

My jeans wore out on the weekend. I hate jean shopping so I really do wear my jeans until they wear out. I went to a factory outlet and finally found a pair that I won’t hate myself in. And they were $70 marked down to $20 so I was pretty happy. Let’s hope these are magic jeans which will never wear out.

My friend Felicity was telling me how she bought 3 pairs of pants, a top and a jumper for the total price of $20 in a second hand shop. I really should shop more at second hand shops, but I have issues with second hand clothes. I think it comes from being the eldest child, and not having any relatives who pass on clothes. Just the idea that someone has worn clothes before me kind of freaks me out.

(It's kind of weird that one of my favourite books is the Sisterhood of the Travelling pants about a group of friends who share a second hand pair of jeans and NEVER wash them)

The only clothes I would feel vaguely okay about wearing second hand would be skirts – at least skirts aren’t as form fitting as just about any other piece of clothing. But I already have too many of those. And when you make them you get to pick the fabric : ).

I'm a big fan of the Long and Lean jeans from the Gap Outlet. I have a pair that is falling apart. I've worn 'em since high school (ten yrs) and love to paint in them. After I had Bri, my goal was to fit back in those jeans. It took me six months. But I made it! :o)

I don't think we have Gap here in Australia - I'll have to keep an eye out for them.
