Reading
Lots of Early Childhood Australia Professional Learning Program e-newsletters. Lots of great info in these, brushing up on some knowledge as I take on more responsibilities at preschool.
Feeling
Refreshed after a fun school holiday, which included a few days in Kiama with Mum and Dad.
Thinking
Happy thoughts :)
Loving
Working with my closest friend again. It's been ages, but feels amazing. And her bubba just turned 6 months! Where has the year gone?
Pinning
Lots of my ideas for my trip at the end of the year. Vancouver, San Francisco, Disneyland; here I come!
A verse I'm reading
My readings finished up Judges (the end of that book shows just how crazy the world can get then 'everyone did as they saw fit' Judges 21:25) and has now moved onto Ruth. Much happier book :)
I love the story of Ruth, a foreign girl in an alien land, leaving her family, culture and religion to be with her mother-in-law and accept the one true God.
May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge. Ruth 2:12
This blessing from Boaz before there is even a hint of a relationship is lovely. This book is often seen as a love story but I think it is so much mo
re. It is about God richly rewarding someone who took refuge in Him. Ruth wasn't an Israelite so that fact she honours and follows Yahweh is even more powerful, and God blesses her with a family and being part of the kingly linage, which ultimately brings us Jesus.

Watching
Masterchef. It's no-commitment TV. So if I miss episodes no problem.
I then tried my hand at raw 'baking' and made a lemon meringue tart. The one on the blog looked way better, but it tasted nice :) (The candied lemon is not part of the recipe, but it was so beige that I needed some kind of colour to finish it off. I can't work out how the lady in the original recipe got the yellow colour without egg yolks)

Thinking
Too many things.
Eating
I've checked out Earth to Table a few times with friends. It's a café in Bondi that does all raw/paleo/vegan food. So amazingly delicious. Some of my favourites have been coconut yogurt with raw granola and also coconut and berry 'cheesecake'. And I always get a green smoothie.I then tried my hand at raw 'baking' and made a lemon meringue tart. Making me happy
Going to see my friend and her baby. Kissable cheeks that I just can't get enough of.June 9, 2013
Currently
A Carly from The girl behind the dress does a 'currently' post most weeks, so inspired by her (she in turn was inspired by Sometimes Sweet) I thought I'd do a similar post for times like now when I don't have time or inspiration for a proper thought out post.
Listening;
The music coordinator at church posted a list of songs we sing at church and I've been loving this one in particular. I hadn't heard of Young Oceans before, but I really like their indie sound.
Thankful for;
A long weekend. I know it's only one extra day off, but it's sooo nice :)
Watching;
My Full House DVD's, and day dreaming about San Fransico.
Pinning;
I got to do a photo shoot for my friend for my friend, husband and her new baby. So cute! So for a while I was pinning heaps of posing ideas for inspiriation.
Clicking;
When someone shared this article on Facebook, I thought it was the coolest idea. All babies born in Finland are given a box with the physical essentials all babies need, no matter what their background. What a great initiative! (Though not sure about sleeping in a box, haha). I already knew Finland has great materinity leave and early childhood education, this is just another way the governement is helping young children have the best start.
A Verse;
My quiet time is going through Psalms at the moment.
Answer me quickly, Lord;
my spirit fails.
Do not hide your face from me
or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.
my spirit fails.
Do not hide your face from me
or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.
Psalm 143:7,8
